It follows that the sameness(5) of machine-made sites is not a defect of the models. It is a property of the interface.
Language is a lossy channel for judgment, and a tool that admits human intention only through language will compress every maker toward the same output, however capable the machine behind it becomes.
So the frame is normative rather than descriptive: it tells you what should govern, and there’s real evidence SGD is biased toward the same wide regions. The identification isn’t established.
The punchline inverts the usual worry. Degeneracy is a feature. Permutation symmetry, layer rescaling, dead units, duplicated units — all the redundancy that makes the model singular is what lowers λ and shrinks the complexity penalty.

The remedy is not abstinence.
What the machine absorbs is labor; what must remain human is authorship of the durable thing — and authorship needs a point of contact, not a purity test. The alternative to the prompt box is not the blank text editor. It is the instrument: something played, not obeyed.
Where the hand corrects in real time what the description could never specify.
